Gaynor specialises in all aspects of employment law,advising both businesses and individuals across the UK. She is known for her approachable, commercial and pragmatic style, helping clients navigate complex workplace issues with clarity and confidence. Since qualifying in London in 2002, she has gained extensive experience across the sector and is a trusted adviser to start-ups and SMEs, particularly those without an HR function.
Gaynor is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
Gaynor’s experience includes:-
General employment law
- Advising on day-to-day employment law, employee relations and HR matters.
- Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, service agreements, consultancy agreements and staff handbooks.
- Advising on redundancy exercises and restructuring projects.
- Supporting businesses with TUPE transfers in the context of business acquisitions.
- Advising senior executives on exit strategies, settlement agreements and post-termination restrictions.
- Advising on restrictive covenants, confidentiality obligations and the protection of business interests.
- Supporting start-ups and SME clients as an outsourced employment law and HR resource, providing ongoing and responsive support.
Employment litigation
- Representing employers and employees in Employment Tribunal claims involving unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and breach of contract.
- Managing complex, high-value litigation, including multi-day hearings.
- Advising on litigation risk, strategy and settlement, and negotiating favourable outcomes for clients.
Outside work Gaynor is highly athletic and regularly competes in both Hyrox and triathlon events. She has represented Great Britain in Age Group teams for both sports over the past three years.
