Veronica is a Paralegal at Avery Law. Prior to joining the firm, she graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a BA in Political Science before earning an LLB (First Class Hons) from the University of Sussex in 2024. She then went on to complete the SQE 1 & 2 LLM in Commercial Law at BPP University Law School, passing both stages of the Solicitors Qualifying Exam in August 2025 and graduating with Distinction in May 2026.

Alongside her studies and since graduating, Veronica has built broad legal and professional experience across a range of settings, including multiple internships in Private Wealth at BMO Nesbitt Burns, working as a student legal advisor at the University of Sussex Sports Law Clinic, and an in-house legal internship at Scotiabank. She then went on to work at Warburg Pincus LLC, supporting the Value Creation, Communications and Capital Solutions teams. Most recently, she completed a vacation scheme at Ropes & Gray LLP.

As a Paralegal, Veronica supports the team with advising clients on corporate matters, including company incorporations, corporate restructurings and day-to-day governance, alongside venture capital fundraising work spanning early-stage rounds through to growth capital and M&A transactions and due diligence.

Outside her studies, Veronica served as President of the University of Sussex Competitive Dance Team, was a Sports Representative on the University's Student Union, and conducted research with the faculty of law piloting a new module. She was also a member of the Wilfrid Laurier University competitive moot team and has judged national moot competitions in Canada. In her graduating year, Veronica was recognised by the University of Sussex Law School with the Special Contribution to the Life of the Law School award, was Highly Commended in the Clinical Legal Education Award Review, and was named Sports Personality of the Year by the University of Sussex Student Union.

Veronica joined Avery Law in September 2026 as a Paralegal.
